A home inspection is an on site evaluation of the structure and systems of a home. An inspection report will review the condition of the property's site, the exterior of the structure, the roof, attic, and visible insulation; the home's heating and environmental ventilation systems, plumbing and electrical systems; walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors; the foundation, basement and the observable structural framing. If problems are found, recommendations will be made. Typically, my reports include not only a written narrative describing the property, but also includes a CD of photos taken while on site with my site notes over-written thereon. A home inspection is not performed in order to pass or fail a property. It is primarily intended to give the buyer adequate information in order for them to make an informed decision.
