I think our agent went far beyond the usual duties of his job...although I've never sold a house before, so don't really know. Since I was living out-of-state, he assisted me by doing everything from seeing that left-behind junk was taken to the dump, to snow-blowing, to checking the heater's oil supply, to checking on water pipes, etc. He checked on the property pretty regularly, as it was vacant. It meant a 40 mile round trip for him, each time that he did this. When I needed help understanding the process of selling the property he quickly advised and helped me understand the paperwork, etc. I feel like I have a friend there in Homer that I can call on.
